Camp near Harrisson

Harrison, Arkansas

     There was a CCC camp near Harrison, Arkansas which worked on an Arkansas CCC project near Eureka Springs called Lake Leatherwood Park. 1,6000 acres, 100 acre lake, large limestone dam. The park is a city park. It is one of the largest municipal parks in the US.

       I'm the Chairman of the Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission. Our town only has a population of about 2,000. I'm trying to collect as much history on Lake Leatherwood as is possible. Most of the people that worked on the project are dead and we have very little documentation on the project. I don't even know the number of the CCC group that worked on the project. Most of the work force was bused in from a nearby town called Harrison.
