Tank Engines

      Tanks in WW II (that we had in the Combat Team ) were powered with RADIAL AIRCRAFT ENGINES - Like the 9 cylinder Wright Cyclone and the 14 cylinder Pratt and Whitney twin row wasp (2 banks of 7 cylinders). They were started with an explosive device that resembled a shotgun shell.
