27 Air School, Miles Master Recovery, Dewetsdorp, Orange Free State of South Africa

Circa. 1942-43

Work has just started on site by the removal of the propeller, fin and rudder, the tail plane is being unbolted, and the next job is to remove the wings from the centre section which cannot be removed.Sgt Brown is in khaki leaning on the 'plane and all of the salvage team are removing cover strips to get at the bolts holding wings etc on.
