Biography of Frederick William Ahrens
CCC Man, Wisconsin
My father Frederick William Ahrens served in the Wisconsin CCC's. He graduated from Menasha, WI H.S. in 1932 and it is my belief he served in the CCC's somewhere between 1933 and 1936 because he went to the University of Wisconsin and graduated from there in 1940. I know he served in Wisconsin but that is as much information as I have. My father always talked about the CCC's with such enthusiasm but when we were young we didn't think to ask him details such as where exactly did you serve, or how long were you in the CCC's. Some years ago we had a photograph of my father standing outside of a barracks but so far we have not been able to locate it.
Any information about his company, camp or service would be appreciated.
