Biography of James Peyton Miller
CCCMan, Yellowstone National Park
I, James Peyton Miller, was born October 12, 1917 in Brooks County, Georgia to farming parents, entered CCC at the age of 20 at Ft. Bragg, NC, served two years. Took two weeks to ride a train to Yellowstone National Park where I cut trails, built bridges, cabins, latrines, etc. Had my 21st Birthday there.
In March of this year I visited a friend of who I met at CCC and am still friends with! Although we live several hundred miles apart, we have kept in touch all these years.
