Timekeeper, CCC Staff, Cape Girardeau, WPA, MO

My Father worked as a timekeeper in the CCC. His name is Eldon D. Smotherman. He was under the FEDERAL WORKS AGENCY, WORK PROJECTS ADMINSTRATION. He was under B.M. Casteel, State Administer. The office was located in Cape Girardeau. He lived in Centerville, Mo. I have corresponce from Geo. B. Snider, Manager #4. I have a letter of my Father being informed that he was being released as Chief Timekeeper in order to bring the Non-Certified Personnel on your project within the 95-5 limitation. It states that his release is effective September 1st. 1941. Geo B. Snider was the Manager WPA District #4. And the letter is signed by H.G. Chappel, District Finance Officer.
