Biography of Thomas Emmett Turner
CCC Man, Fairystone State Park
My father was a cook in the CCC camp. He worked at the camp that helped to build Fairystone State Park. He loved his work there. He talked a lot about how he enjoyed his work at the CCC camp. My father died January 2, 1977, at the age of 85. His birth date was September 11, 1911.
I don't have a lot of information on his working there. I once saw some pictures my mother had. I don't know if she has them now.
