Biography of H. F. Young
Bugler, CCCMan, Unknown Camp and Company
I was put out of Children's Home in 1932, Macon, Georgia. No place to go. Months later I ended upin Wauchula, Florida. I talked to Sheriff Ches Dishan. He advised me what to do. I joined the 3-C's.
With my background from the home playing Cornet, I became the Bugler. Morning and evenings I blew reveille & taps. During the day I was in charge of the recreation hall, plus being a janitor too.
Good Experience. I forget income. When I joined I delegated Sheriff to receive whatever portion of my income had to go to family. "Sho wasn't much"!.
