Federal Theatre Troupe Goes to CCC Camps

In keeping with the program policy of Federal Theater projects in presenting the work of this department activities of WPA a traveling troupe of Federal Theatre Players, is making a tour of the CCC Camps in Delaware, through arrangements made with CCC camps by Major Earl L. House, coordinator of Federal Theatre projects and CCC camps. The troupe will open at the New Castle Camp on Friday, Janurary 8, 1937. Other camps to be played are, Leipsic, Saturday, January 9, 1937; and Lewes, on Monday, January 11, 1937.
The play presented is called "The CCC Murder Mystery".
Members of the traveling troupe of players, unless otherwise feasible, play the heavier roles and are supported by talent obtained from the boys of the camp. This reacts to the several purposes of, creation of interest, training in this line of work, and the amusement and entertainment of the entire camp members and visitors.
