JAMES F. JUSTIN CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORPS MUSEUM
Newspaper Article Collection
The Civilian Conservation Corps was the subject of many news articles throughout its history. A controversial and also popular program, there was much debate about it both pro and con. Moreover the CCC program would also be promoted by announcements of its activities. Local papers back home would write about its young men far from home and what they were doing. Papers near the camps would report on the goings on in the Camps of strange young men in the neighborhood. Also at times the CCCs would do something heroic, sometimes creating news stories in the process. The following pages will contain such news items as I have obtained.
