CCC Bed Tag

Although this is not the tag on the be in Vogel, this is a similar item. It shows the name, CCC Number, Rank, and Work Section of the CCC Enrollee. The Tag also shows the Company number and location of the Camp.

The Tag shows it was on the bed of Bruce Bitler, CC5-75576, who was a member, meaning basic enrollee rather than an Assistant Leader or Leader, in Section Five of Civilian Conservation Corps Company 1535, at Seebert, West Virginia. Short research shows that this Company occupied two camps in Seebert, one was SP-1, which is moved into on October 3, 1934, and the other was Sp-7 which it occupied on April 6, 1937. SP means State Park.
