This is what we slept on and the shoes we wore. Also a part of the foot locker is visible and the mess table. The mess table of course would have been in the mess hall, but the locker and cot would have both been in the barracks.  The tag on the bottom of the bed is a tag with the name of the CCC man who slept there with some of his ID information.

Located near Blairsville, Georgia in the North Georgia Mountains.  Vogel was built by the CCC. We have an annual reunion of the "Boys". The next one will be held on May 8, 1999. Anyone is welcome. We have representation from GA, NC, TN, FL. It is a small gathering of about 50 men and their wives or girl friends and families. We lose a few each year and then a few find us for the first time. It is great fun to hear their stories. We have a small museum located on the park. There are tools, uniforms, photographs and stories. It is very well received by all ages.
