Company 3416, Monroe, North Carolina & Company 4478, Lancaster, South Carolina

From the newsletter of the Brotherhood of XCCCers and presumably prior to that from Happy Days

     Company 4478 Lancaster, South Carolina and Company 3416, Monroe, North Carolina both insisted that Ex-President Andrew Jackson was born near their campgrounds. Both companies are named "Old Hickory". The dispute was settled(?) when the boxing champion of each camp put on a "fit". Company 3416 won on a technical knockout. In protest, two of the loser's buddies went "over the hill".
