Bridge across a mountain stream that crossed the firelane/bridal trail we were building. There were no power tolls out there in the wilderness, everything was done with hand tools. The trail that went through virgin forest, probably never been seen by man, ended at the top of Saddleback Mountain.
Curator's Note: Rangely's Saddleback Mountain is now a ski resort. There was a Fire Tower built on the mountain, probably by this CCC Company after Mr. Farley left. There remains a winding Jeep Trail to the Tower location and a trail called the Wire Trail straight up the mountain to the old Tower location. The trail mentioned here is probably the Jeep Trail and was probably built to enable the Fire Tower to be built. The Wire Trail was also probably built by this CCC Company and would have been a trail built to provide a telephone wire to be strung to the Fire Tower so the Ranger there (or CCC men possibly) to report any fire sightings. The trail and the wire poles and the wire would all have been built by a crew from this CCC Company.
