Biography of Jesse Albert Barnes

CCCman, Appalachian Trail

         My Grandfather, Jesse Albert Barnes, has been dead for almost 12 years. All I know about his CCC service is that he joined because his family lost everything in the Depression and he couldn't go to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as he had planned. My Grandma says that he helped build part of the Appalachian Trail but she is unaware of what camp he was in.  More later as I get his CCC records.
