Biography of Milburn H. Cody
Asst Ldr, Co 1525, SP-5, Watoga, Huntersville WV & Co 3549, Camp Rowan, Union, WV & Camp Fairfax, Hedgesville, West Virginia
My Father-in-Law, Milburn H. Cody enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps in April 9,1936 into Company 1525, SP-5 Huntersville, West Virginia. The name of the park was Watoga. Promoted to Assistant Leader as Assistant Educational Advisor in April of 1937. Discharged July 1937 to accept outside employment, but re-enrolled in April 1939 at Camp Rowan, Company 3549 in Union, West Virginia . He was in this camp until January 1940 when the entire camp was moved to Camp Fairfax in Hedgesville, West Virginia. He also was a first aide attendant and also a cook. He was discharged in January of 1941.
