Biography of Abe Sofferman

T/Sgt, 67th Squadron, 44th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force, USAAF

    Technical Sergeant Abe Sofferman served as a Radio Operator and Gunner in B24s from England.  His unit partook in Deep Penetration Raids into Germany in preparation for the Normandy landings.

     Sergeant Sofferman was shot by German SS Troops after parachuting into Nazi occupied Belgium, January 29, 1944 on Lt. Harold Pinder's crew.
