Biography of Victor H. "Pappy" Ullman
776th Bmb Sqdn, 464th Bmb Grp, 15th AF, USAAF
My Dad, Victor H. Ullman, "Pappy" to his crew, was the pilot of a B24 in the mediteranian during World War Two. The crew took command of this brand new plane in January, 1944. The plane was named "Pappy's Puss" and was shot down on "D-Day" over Romania while on a "Ploesti Run". Nine of the crew members were captured, taken prisoner, and subsequently released upon German Surrender. I am not sure if this is correct, but I think the crew flew 29 missions before being shot down. The crew is listed below, would like to hear from any surviving members.
