Biography of Stan Rogers

CCCMan, Company 2133, Camp BR-7, Deaver, Wyoming

          Stan joined the CCC when he was 16 in Worcester MA. He came to the camp in Deaver, Wyoming in 1939 and was there until 1941. He was a camp leader and chauffeur for the officers when needed. Stan ran the camp laundry and a taxi service for the rest of the men. After the camp was closed in the spring of 1941, Stan got a job with the NPS as warehouse manager at Mamouth Hot Springs. He then joined the Navy in April, 1942.

        Stan met Mary Lou Eyres in Deaver when she was in HS. They were married September 5, 1942.
