Barracks Ready for Inspection

Company 1328-V, Camp SP-16-Pa, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania

This CCC enrollee is a World War One Veteran like everyone in this Company which is told by the V designation. This Barracks is ready for inspection.  The blankets are folded at the head of the bed ( over the pillow ) and the comfort is rolled at the foot.  You can see that the Commander of this camp has the men sleeping alternately so that they are head to toe as well, probably with the thought that this would spread colds slower. Photo is from 1936 Second District Third Corps Annual. The insert on right is due to irregular pattern in photo page.
