Magnus Hagen
Chief Engineer, Merchant Marine
My Grandfather, Magnus Hagen, came to this country from Norway around 1915. He was a SeaMan and went to work for Socony Vacuum, which later became Standard Oil. He worked his way up to Chief Engineer, Retired, and volunteered for WWII. He had a colorful and dangerous career, which ended when he was bombed and fatally wounded. No more info, except that he died in a military hospital in Staten Island, NY. If you could suggest where I might look, I'd be very grateful.
Thanking you in advance, I am, Ralph Magnus Ciccarelli, MGySgt.USMC [ret]
