Biography of Emile P. Cote
Soldier, Normandy, St. Lo, KIA, WWII, USA
My brother, Emile P. Cote, from Ashburnham, Massachusetts, joined the Civilian Conservation Corps. I believe it was in the 1930s. He went out West somewhere, I really don't know much about it though I am trying to find out more. He came home once and he was AWOL from his CCC Camp for the trip, though he went back. My parents didn't know at the time.
Emile eventually joined the Army in 1942, but he was killed at St. Lo in France in July 1944. He is buried in Normandy.
