View of Camp of Company 1802, Camp P-64, Smithville, Oklahoma
Caption Reads: View CCC Camp Smithville Okla. 1934, Home C.C.C. Co. # 1802., 1st Lt. N. D. Christian Comdg.
Note the Volleyball (Badmitton?) Net, and Ladders on Building Sides for Fire Escapes. Very elaborate CCC Camp buildings. 1st Lieutenant N. D. Christian commanded a very nice camp!
(The location of CCC 1802 was the campus of what used to the Folsom Training school. The school closed down at the end of the school year in 1934, after being in operation about 10 years. The Methodist church created the school and all of the buildings were built when the school was started. The school was leased to the government for used by CCC 1802, thanks to T. Gross for that information)
