Biography of Harry Goolie
CCCman, Company 1745 and Company 2920, Camp F-1, Camp Sullivan Lake, Metaline Falls, Washington
My husband, Harry Goolie, originally from Hillyard, Washington, served in the CCC camp at Sullivan Lake near Metaline Falls in the state of Washington. He was there around 1936. He is 81 years old now and has a couple of pictures of this time. We found a picture that says:
Co.2920 C.C.C.
Formerly Co. 1745
All Washington Men
Camp Sullivan Lake F-1
Three men are standing in front of the rest of the sign. A US Forest Service Symbol is on the sign. Harry said they planted trees and built roads, mostly.
