Biography of Glen Stockman

S/Sgt, Forward Observer, Company M, 345th Regt, 87th Inf. Div, Battle of the Bulge, USA

I was in the 345th, Company M as a forward observer 81mm motars, Staff Sgt. Entered Army after volunteering in Feb 43 Went Camp McCain Miss. Discharged in Dec. 45. Never wounded but tossed in the air a few times, nose bleeds etc. I had three combat battle stars: Ardennes Battle of the Bulge, Central Europe and Rhineland Campaign. Offered Bronze Star and or Silver star at end of war but took a week on the Riviera instead. Never regreted it. Also battlefield commision I turned down as I wanted OUT!
