Biography of 'June' Warner Pendleton Knick, Jr.
CCCMan, Company 3869, Camp Cuyamanca Rancho, California
My great uncle, Warner P. Knick, Jr., was in the CCCs. He was from Virginia. Warner Pendleton Knick, Jr. born July 13, 1924, in Virginia. He was from Alleghany co. Eagle Rock, Va. area. My mom said that the family called him "June" short for Junior.
Warner Knick passed away some years ago, in 1992. I also have several with groups of men in them. I don't think he is in the pictures. Uncle Knick was a camera bug so he probably took them. Maybe I could locate someone who is still living or their families who would like copies.

Curator's Note: The Photo has the above Company Name, and what may be the Camp Name. Company 3869 was found in California in the two locations below. There is a Lake Cuyamanca near San Diego, but the Company moved to Camino in 1938. Mr. Knick would not have turned 16 till 1940. Therefore presumably he was in the Camino Camp or some third camp not yet named. OR the sign in the photo was an old one brought from old camp to new.
