Biography of Charles E. Rhea Jr
Seaman 2/c, USS Ozark, & SMSGT (ret.) USAF
I am Charles E. Rhea Jr., and I served aboard the USS Ozark until we were transfered to shore duty in Japan. This was to make room for POW's. We had an accicdent where one of our boats fell from the ship while lowering it. I was laying off the gangway and responded to assist in the recovery of injured. The coxswain was injured. He was transfered and we never heard what happened to him. I picked him up and handed him to personnel in my boat.
Would like to know what happened to the coxswain
