Biography of John David Wright
Enrollee, Unknown Company, Laramie Wyoming
I'm John David Wright and I lived in Electra, Texas and joined the CCC in Wichita Falls, Texas in March 1938 or 1939, I'm not sure which. I was sent to a camp in Laramie, Wyoming. I only stayed there about 2 weeks and was sent to a side camp just half way between Douglas and Medicine Bow, WY. There we built a Forest Ranger's Station's house out of logs. I was an oiler on a power shovel and then I was a cook for awhile.
We left there and went back to our main camp the first of October and I was discharged and sent home from there.
