Biography of Curtis M. Queen
CCC Man, Gallipolis, Ohio
My older brother, Curtis M. Queen, left high school, from Sciotoville High School in Sciotoville, Ohio, in the latter part of his senior year to join the CCC. This would have been approximately 1932-1934. His camp was in Gallipolis, Ohio. He made five dollars a month as an enrollee and sent $25 of that home. This was during the Great Depression, and my family desperately needed any financial help they could get.
