Biography of Lester T. A. Boccuzzi

CCCMan, Company 2137, Camp Mullin Creek, Centenial, Wyoming

I am 81 years old now, but when I was a young man I was in the Civilian Conservation Corps. I was in Connecticut, where I was born, when I left for the C's in 1938. I was in Company 2137, Camp Mullin Creek in Centenial, Wyoming. I got out of the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1939.

I went to a reunion of the Civilian Conservation Corps in Connecticut a few years ago. There were thousands of people there and we lived it up with BBQ, Roast and stuff. What a turn out! I was searching for guys that was stationed in my Camp. A guy asked me if I needed help looking for someone and I said that I was looking for a bunch of guys 18 or 19 years old that was in camp with me. That was a big laugh cause we were all around 70 years old and older.

I am always thrilled to hear anything that's connected to the good old CCC's.
