I would like to share what I have on my dad. My dad was Jesus Manuel Herrera from the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas. He was 17 yrs old when he enlisted with the CCC on April 17, 1941 and was out in July 15, 1942. He started off at Camp F-34A from April 17, 1941 to May 23, 1941 as an officers Orderly at Cave Creek, then he went to Camp F-77A East Verde from May 24, 1941 to November 7, 1941 as an officers orderly, Camp F-16A Globe from November 8, 1941 to March 7, 1942. He was a blacksmith helper there, Camp-109A at Arlington from March 7, 1942 to May 9,1942 he worked on fence construction, Camp F-32A from May 9, 1942 left there and went to Camp F-75 Pivot Rock and was discharged on July 15, 1942. These were all camps in Arizona. This information I got from the National Archives. My dad joined the Navy after that but I do know that he always did say that he appreciated his work with the CCC because there were no jobs where he lived.
Thank you ----- Elena Feild
