Biography of Ronald Hutchinson

Sgt. Flight Engineer, Halifax III NA-188 PT-E, 420 Squadron RCAF, Tholthorpe, RAF

My great uncle was Sgt. Ronald Hutchinson (Flight engineer) who unfortunately died on the night of 16th January 1945 on a raid to Madgeburg. He flew onboard Halifax III NA-188 coded PT-E from Tholthorpe. Believed to be shot down by a German night fighter, records indicate that F/O W.L. Dennis, F/O R.A. Ireland, P/O L.J. Penny and F/O W. Webb were also killed. Only F/S F.W. Poole and F/S S. Cameron survived, becoming POWs. PT-E was one of four 420 aircraft shot down on that mission, three to fighters and one to flak. Ronald Hutchinson was interred in Germany in Grave 1. C. 11., Hannover War Cemetery.

I am trying to find any photos of the plane he flew in or the crew he was around and would love to find out any more information about him and the people he knew.
