My dearest friend Phil Middelstadt is gone now but he used to tell me about his ccc days in northern minn. He was from western minn. and was first in Big Fork Minnesota camp but moved to the Hovland camp. He told me stories about it and I've even found what was left of the camp. Not much there but I have been able to put it together buy what he told me about it. I'm hoping to find someone that was their. He told me of a guy named moose face. It was the best time of his life. He was drafted into the war as a cook in Europe and moved back to Minnesota to be a boy scout leader for many years. He died some eight years ago now. He and his stories are missed!
