Biography of Michael E. Rouse,
CCC Man, Camp Sawyer, Chequamegon National Forest, Winter, WI
My great uncle Michael E. Rouse passed away last week and I was going thru his war chest that was left for me and ran across a tear away box score which I believe to be from the summer of 1934. Appears to be from a baseball game between Camp Sawyer and Clam Lake. My uncle played 3b for Sawyer.
Curator's Note, Camp Clam Lake and Camp Sawyer were two CCC camps in Wisconsin, in the Chequamegon National Forest. Camp Sawyer was located near Winter, WI. It seems likely that these are the camps referenced in the article.
Sports Story from unknown paper (possibly camp paper) c. June 1934, referencing Michael E. Rouse, 3B
