Biographies of Jay Brown Smith and Stanley Edgar Cooper
CCC Men, Company 3467, Camp TVA-3, Kingston, TN
My dad Jay Brown Smith and my husband, Stanley Edgar Cooper, were in the CCCs in Company 3467, Camp TVA-3, Kingston, Tennessee in September 1935. TVA stood for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Stanley was working in the kitchen and the men enjoyed his cooking. I have a photo of his company in which are my dad and I am pretty sure my husband. Both my Dad and my husband are gone now, but I just wish the CCC could have continued. It gave so many young men opportunity.
Any information about this camp would be appreciated.
