Sailor USN, WWII, Cold War
My Dad Clifford Ray Waller was in the CCCs.
He joined October 16, 1939 and was in the 784th Company SCS-22 in Neodesha,
Kansas. He was then transferred to Company 4703, SCS-8 in Council Grove,
Kansas. He had photos of the camp, including the first one below where he is
sitting on the steps with a friend, I think from Home which would have been
Altamont, Kansas. On June 24, 1940 he was discharged from the Council Grove,
CCC camp to join the Navy. He spent 30 years in the Navy. --- Cindy Waller Ross cramics AT bellsouth.net Copy the above into your mail
