Train Station
Civilian Conservation Corps Company 146, Marshfield, Vermont
This is the station that was used to travel to and from the Camp. Mr. Jurras did not identify the station in his photograph, and the information at the www.naccca.com website states that the train station closest to the camp was in Montpelier, Vermont. However, I have been provided a different period photo of this station by a site visitor who informs me that the station in this photo is the Lanesboro Depot in Marshfield, Vermont. As such this must have been the closest depot, if perhaps not full "railhead" station tracked in the federal records, closest to Camp S-51 in Groton State Forest.
