Biography of George Barnosky
CCC Man, Camp Rhododendron, West Virginia
My father, George Barnosky (born 1919), was at Camp Rhododendron and I have several memories of stories he told about the camp. He told us about working on the construction of Cooper's Rock Park, where he operated a jackhammer at one of the lookout points. He also told of cutting the hair of other young men who were at the Camp and I think he said he earned "twenty cents a head" for cutting their hair.
I have located one small booklet on Camp Rhododendron with a group photo containing my dad. But I was hoping there was other information available where my family could see the complete story of this wonderful episode of our dad's youth. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
