CCC Man, Company 1525, SP-5, Watoga State Park, Huntersville, WV

My grandfather, Everett C. Kemper, served with Company 1525, SP-5, CCC, Huntersville, WV. As you may know this was Watoga State Park. I have his original discharge which shows he was enrolled July 9, 1934 to March 5, 1936. He served in WWI in Company "H", 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, AEF, 1917-1919. I have yet to encounter any indication that Co. 1525 was a veterans company. My grandfather lived near the camp, with his family. I suspect that bringing an even-tempered veteran into camp would be helpful to the commander. The CO that signed his discharge was a Lieut. in the USNR.
