Biography of Alfred F. Maddas

CCC Man, Company 1381, Camp S-60-Pa., Petersburg, PA.

Soldier, US Army,. WWII

Hi. My father Alfred F. Maddas was in the CCC camps, 3rd Corps Area, 1381st Company, S-60-Pa., Petersburg, Penna. He went to School for Mess Stewards and Cooks in Newcumberland, Penna. I have his Certificate of Proficiency that shows he successfully completed the course as 1st Cook October 17th, 1940. My dad is 93 and asked me to help find his discharge papers. He had gotten into a bit of trouble when he had burned an Officer's food. He has some funny stories. Not sure if he was dishonorably discharged. It still bothers him to this day. My Dad is in perfect mental health and he loves talking about the old days. He also served in the Army in WWII.

Any information about his company, camp or service would be appreciated.
