This page is a series of links to stories about the United States Army, National Guard, and State Guards. The U.S. Army includes all units of the U.S. Army including civilian employees, ROTC, Army Reserve. Air Force and Army Air Force or Air Corps information is contained in the Air Force Oral History Page. State Guard refers to those State organizations which existed from 1916 through at least 1942 which served as a subset of the national guard. As submitted and until enough warrant separate listings, foreign ground forces service stories will be listed herein as well.
The Stories below are broken down into anecdotes, biographies and photographs. Anecdotes are brief accounts of personal, humorous or historic interest. Personal histories often contain stories as well. All may contain contact information for the veteran or the party providing the story. If any are provided, jokes or songs will be provided as well.
